Our Story
Was it love at first sight a lot of people ask - funny enough we were friends before we started dating, so no, no it wasn't love at first sight haha. We have loved building our relationship off of years of friendship. It means we were best mates right from the get go and skipped the whole 'trying to look cool in front of each other' part you usually do when you first start dating.
After 2 years of dating James decided to pop the question. Their trip to Italy seemed like the perfect time. Soraya thought it would be a regular trip with the usual site seeing and visiting family but little did she know James had planned an amazing surprise engagement. On our final night in Italy James had planned to take us out to dinner and pop the question but Soraya was tired and not feeling up to it. This definitely threw a spanner in the works so James had to think quickly. If he had pushed too hard to get her to dinner it would have been too suspicious. So he scraped his whole idea and proposed to her in their hotel room. It wasn't as glamorous as he imagined but it was raw, real and perfect.
